Job summary

Plumb Centre in Belfast is seeking a Sales Assistant to join the team. You will serve customers at the trade counter, identify requirements, and provide product recommendations. You’ll respond to inquiries by phone and email, and proactively pursue sales opportunities while supporting warehouse tasks.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00, with potential overtime. Plumbing knowledge and a strong customer-service focus are valued.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Making outbound calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Identifying opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including stock booking, put-away, picking and packing orders, heavy items handling.

As a Sales Assistant based in Belfast, you'll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system, putting it away, and picking and packing customer orders, which will involve manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 17:00. Overtime may be required.
