Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited in Lowestoft is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our trade counter team. You will greet customers, understand their needs and offer product recommendations, while also handling phone and email inquiries.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 with potential Saturday overtime once trained; you will also contribute to warehouse tasks and support a busy branch with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous face to face sales and customer service experience is essential.
• Team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure smooth branch operations.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse.

Working Hours and Schedule

Full time permanent role - Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17.00pm. Potential to work Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm as overtime once trained.
