A primary care practice in Bury is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a registered population of 4,500 patients. The role involves delivering effective medical care, managing long-term conditions, participating in clinical governance, and contributing to training activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to self-directed learning and support medical education. This is a full-time position, requiring adherence to best practices and ongoing professional development.
We are seeking a dedicated GP to join our team for 7 sessions per week.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our 4,500 registered patients within a primary care setting
Deliver high-quality, effective medical care to the Practices registered population.
Provide clinical services in accordance with the requirements of the GMS contract.
Manage patients with long-term conditions effectively, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
Adhere to best practice as defined by current clinical guidelines and participation in audit and quality assurance processes.
Accept delegated responsibility for defined areas of practice or elements of the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
Contribute effectively to the ongoing development and sustainability of the Practice, including involvement in clinical governance and training activities.
Ensure full compliance with the annual appraisal process.
Prepare for and successfully complete the revalidation process.
Demonstrate a commitment to self-directed learning and promote a culture of continuing professional development across the practice team.
Support and contribute to the education and training of medical students and learners from all clinical disciplines.
Review, comply with, and consistently adhere to Practice protocols and policies.
Promote collaborative working by liaising regularly with all members of staff and fostering a culture of openness, learning, and continuous improvement.
Located in the heart of Bury, Knowsley Medical Centre is a friendly, high-achieving practice serving 4,500 patients. We are backed by a supportive multidisciplinary team and an active PPG.
The post-holder will manage a caseload anddeal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring thehighest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
