We are seeking a dedicated Salaried GP - 6-8 sessions per week- to join our experienced multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities

The post-holder will deliver agreed clinical sessions, typically comprising 13 x 15-minute consultations, administrative tasks, and potential home visits.

Duties include... Acting on alerts and reminders e.g., QOF during routine consultations. Providing comprehensive GP services, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and referral where appropriate. Offering preventative health care and advice. Supporting patients referred to the GP by other surgery staff. Prescribing in line with local and national formulary guidelines. Exercising professional autonomy in clinical decision-making. Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous IT-based records. Collecting data for audit purposes. Issuing acute and repeat prescriptions.

In general, the post-holder will undertake all duties expected of a GP within primary care.

Other Responsibilities

Supporting practice staff and responding to requests for advice. Attending MDT, clinical, and practice meetings. Delivering enhanced services to meet patient needs and optimise practice income. Complying with all practice policies and guidelines, including prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, and annual QOF requirements.

Our dedicated clinical team - comprising GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), and Practice Nurses - provides high-quality, patient-centred care and consistently achieves excellent QOF results.

As part of the Chester East Primary Care Network (PCN), we work collaboratively with three other practices to enhance services and develop our workforce. Through the PCN, we benefit from a multidisciplinary team including Care Coordinators, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, a Mental Health Practitioner, Social Prescribing Link Workers, and Wellbeing Coordinators all supporting both patients and staff to deliver the best possible care.

We are proud to contribute to the training of future healthcare professionals. Our practice regularly hosts 5th-year medical students and undergraduate nursing trainees, working closely with our PCN partners to provide a supportive learning environment.

Inaccordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will beavailable to undertake clinical sessions.A routine clinical session comprises of 13 x 15-minute consultations,clinical admin time and the potential of home visits.

Provide all GP services required.

Respond to medical problemspresented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where clinically appropriate.

Adhere to the practiceprescribing formulary, as dictated by local and national guidelines.

Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presentingproblems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workerswithin the organisation;

Record clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes toagreed standards;

Collect data for audit purposes

Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeatprescriptions

Ingeneral the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties andresponsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Otherresponsibilities within the Practice

Supporting the practice staffand responding to requests for advice and assistance from the practicereception, secretarial and nursing staff.

Attend MDT, clinical andpractice meetings.

Provide additional enhanced services to the practices that meetthe needs of the practices patient population and maximise the income streamsto the practice

Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practicepolicies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, healthand safety, annual QOF Assessment of the Practice.
