The role: Safety and Compliance Manager

As a key member of our Engineering Safety & Compliance team, you will take ownership of either the Safety Assurance or Compliance Monitoring function, driving a culture of continuous improvement, proactive risk management, and regulatory excellence.

What you’ll do
  • Leading a team of skilled professionals to ensure delivery of safety or compliance oversight across our global maintenance operations.
  • Supporting the Accountable Manager and senior leadership with accurate insights into organisational risks, emerging trends, and system performance.
  • Continuous Improvement of our Compliance and Safety Management Systems.
  • Ensuring that audit and assurance programmes meet regulatory and business expectations, with effective root cause analysis and follow‑up.
  • Championing a just culture and promoting engagement across engineering teams.
  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders including the CAA, EASA, other industry partners.
What you’ll bring to British Airways
