Job summary

Vbeyond is seeking a SACM-focused specialist to own the CMDB/CMS and govern configuration data across the organisation. You will define CIs and service mappings, drive data quality, and lead audits to ensure accurate, auditable information.

Expertise with ServiceNow CSDM, discovery tools, and automation will help improve visibility and resilience across services and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain SACM policies, standards, processes and governance frameworks.
• Own and govern the CMDB and CMS, ensuring accurate configuration data across the organisation.
• Define, manage, and maintain CIs, attributes, relationships, and service mappings.
• Lead CMDB health and data models using the ServiceNow CSDM framework.
• Lead end-to-end SACM lifecycle including planning, identification, control and audit.
• Establish CI data maintenance processes with discovery tools, automation, and controlled updates.
• Manage configuration governance, assurance, and compliance activities and audits.
• Provide governance of configuration audits, attestation, and remediation of data quality issues.
• Drive adoption of ServiceNow, discovery, and service mapping to improve automation and visibility.

Job description

• Develop, implement, and maintain Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) policies, standards, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Own and govern the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Configuration Management System (CMS), ensuring accurate, complete, and trusted configuration data across the organisation.
• Define, manage, and maintain Configuration Items (CIs), their attributes, relationships, and service mappings to provide visibility of dependencies across business services, applications, infrastructure, and supporting components.
• Expertise in managing CMDB health and data models using the ServiceNow CSDM framework to drive service-aware governance
• Lead the end-to-end SACM lifecycle, including planning, identification, control, status accounting, verification, and audit of configuration item and service assets data.
• Establish and optimise CI data maintenance processes, leveraging discovery tools, system integrations, automation, and controlled manual updates to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
• Manage configuration governance, assurance, and compliance activities, including regular configuration audits and the remediation of identified data quality issues.
• Provide governance and oversight of configuration compliance, audit, and CI attestation activities, ensuring CI data remains accurate, auditable, and aligned to organisational and compliance requirements.
• Drive the adoption of ServiceNow, discovery, and service mapping capabilities to improve automation, data integrity, configuration visibility, and operational resilience.
