Job summary

RAC in the UK is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support from a home base in the York cluster. You will cover local areas with a RAC van and diagnostic kit, aiming to get members back on the road quickly.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification with at least two years of post-qualification experience, a customer-focused approach, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Customer-focused approach and full UK driving licence.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical roadside issues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair.
• Vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Start and finish from home with 40-hour weeks and overtime availability.
