Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join the York cluster, delivering mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and end each day from home, with a 40-hour demand-led week and the option of overtime.

You will hold a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, a customer-focused approach, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years post-qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle on-call calls, diagnose faults and perform repairs on-site for RAC members.
• Start and finish each day from home, with local travel within the York cluster.
