Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside and deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish your day at home, working within a local area such as York, Tadcaster, Selby, and surrounding towns.

The role requires Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside.
• You’ll be equipped with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
• Be a problem solver, a people person, and a proud ambassador for the RAC, staying calm under pressure and confident in your craft.
