Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform fault diagnostics and roadside repairs across the UK. You will work from home premises, starting and finishing your day in your driveway while covering local clusters to support members on the road.

The role requires Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years of hands-on experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a clean UK driving licence. Training and tools provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, focusing on local areas to get members back on the road.
