Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division and support members across the UK. You’ll perform diagnostics and roadside repairs, providing quick, confident solutions for breakdowns and faults.

Your day begins and ends at home, driving a RAC van to call-outs with full training and equipment supplied. We offer a competitive base salary (£48,121.87) including night allowance, with an average OTE (£43k–£53k).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making an impact on the roadside.
• You’ll be equipped with tools and support to get the job done and provide outstanding member service.
