Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK. You will join the Patrol division, starting and ending each day from home and servicing members in your local area with calm, capable support.

You will receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit. The role offers a strong base salary with a realistic OTE and access to comprehensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Experience performing roadside repairs and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Start and end the day at home, travelling to local job sites.
• Utilise provided tools, diagnostic kit, and uniform to complete calls.
