Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support, delivering quick, confident solutions for our members.

Expect a base salary around £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000. Shifts are demand-led, averaging 40 hours per week, with overtime options and all necessary tools, a van, fuel card, and full uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical/electrical/diagnostic experience.
• A customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
• Handle fault diagnostics and repairs with driver confidence.
• Work on demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week across the UK.
