Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK, starting and ending each day from home.

You will be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit to ensure rapid, reliable service for our members. We offer a strong base pay plus OTE typically ranging from £43,000 to £53,000, with opportunities for bonuses and enhanced overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making an impact on the roadside.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
