Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown assistance across the UK, starting and ending the day from home with a RAC van and full tools provided.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced role, delivering confident solutions and exceptional member service on every call.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle faults such as flat batteries, tyre changes and other roadside issues.
