Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician in the Plymouth area. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and provide rapid assistance to members, starting and finishing from your home drive for demand-led shifts.

You’ll use your Level 2 LVM qualification and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, along with a valid UK driving licence, to keep members moving across local routes with support from the RAC team.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Carry out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding on-site.
• Serve local members by returning vehicles to road in Plymouth and surrounding areas.
