Job summary

The RAC seeks a Roadside Technician in Plymouth. You’ll diagnose, repair and assist members on the roadside, with a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification and at least 2 years’ experience.

Start and finish on your driveway, with around 40 hours per week and optional overtime; you'll receive a market-competitive base salary (£36,400) and an OTE around £61,000, plus a van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• Customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence

• Provide roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to members
• Start and end your day at home and manage calls head-on
