Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish at home, operating with your RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic tools, ensuring quick, confident solutions for members.

The role offers a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000 and generous benefits, including overtime opportunities and support for your professional growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
