Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician in the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support, using your expertise to keep members moving.

You’ll start and finish at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform and tools provided. The role includes demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime and a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work from home base and attend on-call roadside calls with RAC van and tools.
