Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, operating a RAC van with full tools and diagnostic kit, serving members in your local area.

The role offers a market-competitive base salary of £42,921.87 (inclusive of night allowance) with an average OTE from £43,000 to £53,000, plus comprehensive benefits and career progression within a trusted UK brand.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work from home with RAC van, tools and diagnostic kit.
