Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostic and roadside repair across a wide local area. You’ll start and finish from home, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime, in a role that blends technical skill with strong member service.

You’ll receive a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE around £60,000, and benefits such as a company van, fuel card, and uniform. Excellent career growth is offered with such a long-standing service leader.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Roadside Technician duties include expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs quickly and confidently to get members back on the road.
• Start and finish day at home and manage 40-hour weeks with optional overtime.
