Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll operate from home, working on a 40-hour week with demand-led shifts in your local area.

You’ll receive a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000; top performers earn more through bonuses and overtime. A RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
• Alternatively, 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members
• Start and end each day from home and maintain high levels of member service
