Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish at home, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit. The RAC has over 125 years of heritage, offering a share scheme, upgraded holidays, pension, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' post-qualification technical experience.
• Customer-focused approach and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support to RAC members.
• Work head-on with challenging roadside calls and restore mobility.
