Job summary

RAC seeks a Roadside Technician to deliver roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will operate from home, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week in a local patrol area.

You’ll receive a market-competitive base salary (£36,400) and a realistic OTE (£60,000+), with top performers earning more through bonuses and overtime. RAC provides tools, a van, and full uniform from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day at home, tackling challenges head-on and delivering swift solutions.
• Equip and support with RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic tools to enable field service.
