Job summary

The RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick solutions and reassure members when they need help most.

You’ll work independently, using the latest diagnostic tools, with a structured development pathway and IMI accreditation opportunities. Competitive pay and overtime options are included.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
