Job summary

The RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and deliver emergency roadside repairs across the UK. You’ll work independently, solve problems quickly and provide reassurance to members, helping them get back on the road.

You’ll join a structured development path with hands-on learning, supported by IMI accreditation, and enjoy a strong base salary with achievable bonuses, overtime, and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and clear explanations to members.

5+ years vehicle experience

Education
