Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician in the Patrol division to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

You will diagnose faults, perform quick fixes, and provide reassurance to members using the latest diagnostic technology. The role offers autonomy, diverse daily challenges, and opportunities to develop skills while helping drivers resume their journeys safely.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs.
• Provide vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassuring customer service for RAC members.
• Work independently to identify faults and keep members on the move.
