Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and keep the UK moving. You’ll start and finish each day from home and work on a 40-hour week with demand-led shifts and optional overtime.

You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and support members in emergency situations across the UK. RAC provides a van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit from day one, with a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £60,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience or
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish at your home, with a RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic kit provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
