Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician in the UK. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, starting and ending each day at your home drive with an RAC van and diagnostics kit provided.

You will need Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years in the field, plus a full UK driving licence with <6 points. Shifts average 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home with your RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on every call-out
