Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and emergency support across the UK. You’ll work from home to start and finish each day, supported by a RAC van, fuel card, tools, and diagnostic kit.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with <6 points. Competitive base pay with strong overtime potential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to members.
