Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and end your day at home, with a dedicated RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit provided.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years' experience as a Technician/Mechanic.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home, with RAC van, fuel card, and tools provided.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on call-outs.
