Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to keep the UK moving. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience, you’ll diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs while supporting members on call-outs.

You’ll start and finish on your driveway, work around 40 hours a week with optional overtime, and receive a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000. You’ll have your RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions for RAC members.
• Handle diverse roadside calls from batteries and tyres to complex fault-finding.
