Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to serve members across the UK. The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of experience.

You’ll receive a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000 and will work on demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week. You’ll start and finish at home, join a Patrol team, and be provided with your RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit from day

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver fast, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members at the roadside.
• Operate as part of the Patrol division, starting and finishing shifts from home and utilizing RAC van and equipment.
