Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and at least 2 years' experience. You’ll start and finish on your driveway, with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

You’ll receive a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £60,000, with top performers earning more through bonuses. RAC provides a full van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Perform roadside mechanical repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and fault-finding across the UK.
