Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll perform diagnostics, roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Start and finish from home driveway and take on demand‑led shifts.

You'll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, tools and diagnostic kit. Base pay is £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000+; top performers earn more through bonuses and overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making an impact on the roadside.
