Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will work from home at the start and finish of calls, with a dedicated RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit provided.

Qualified candidates will have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance NVQ (or equivalent) and 2+ years of field experience, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home and respond to roadside calls.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassuring service to RAC members.
