Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the UK. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2 years’ experience, you’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support emergency breakdowns to keep members moving.

You’ll start and end at home, cover local Warrington-area towns, and be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit. The role offers a strong base pay (£36,400) with an achievable OTE (£60,000+) and opportunities to earn

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Handle fault diagnostics, tyre changes, battery issues and other roadside challenges
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on call
