Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to keep the UK moving, diagnosing faults, performing roadside repairs, and supporting members with urgent breakdowns. You’ll start and finish from home, with a RAC van, tools, and diagnostic kit provided.

The role offers strong earning potential through bonuses and overtime. Based in the Swindon cluster, you’ll cover local areas with demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 LV Maintenance with 2+ years experience.
• 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide breakdown support and quick, confident solutions to members.
• Work to get members back on the road in local areas.
