Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver fast, fixed roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK. You’ll start and finish each day at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit provided.

Salary starts at £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000, and overtime opportunities. You’ll work in areas around Swindon, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and a focus on getting members back on the road.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day at home and focus on getting members back on the road locally.
• Utilise RAC van, fuel card, diagnostics kit and required tools provided.
