Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and support members during breakdowns, delivering quick, confident solutions.

You’ll start and end your day from home, with a RAC van, tools, and diagnostics kit provided. The role covers local areas around Swindon cluster including Chippenham, with overtime and performance bonuses on offer.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Tackle faults head-on to get members back on the road efficiently
