Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to help keep the UK moving, diagnosing faults, performing roadside repairs, and assisting members with professionalism at the roadside.

You’ll start from home with a vehicle, typically 40-hour weeks and optional overtime. A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience and a full UK driving licence are required, with progression through RAC's development pathway.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with few points.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Ensure quick, confident solutions for RAC members.
