Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician who will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish from your home, with a RAC van and full diagnostic tools provided to respond quickly to member needs.

Ideal candidates have Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and 2+ years of experience, plus a full UK licence. The role offers a market base of £36,400 with realistic OTE and generous overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle fault diagnostics and a range of roadside service calls with calm confidence.
