Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years of experience. You will diagnose faults and perform emergency roadside repairs across the UK, delivering high‑quality member service.

You will start and end at home, work around demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with overtime options. You’ll have a RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit provided from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home with a RAC van and equipment provided to respond to calls.
