Job summary

RAC is seeking a skilled Roadside Technician to perform essential roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll operate with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or extensive hands-on experience and a clean UK driving licence.

You’ll start and end each day from home, work 40-hour weeks with on-call overtime, and use supplied tools, van, and diagnostic kit. RAC offers development and long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Willing to work 40-hour weeks with optional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle fault-finding, tyre changes and battery-related issues as needed.
