Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Exeter cluster, covering nearby towns and helping members quickly get back on the road. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and support on-call breakdowns with a focus on excellent service.

You’ll start and finish each day at home, with a 40-hour demand-led week and optional overtime. You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit to assist you in your daily work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is a plus.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions for members.
• Start and end your day at home, with local on-road deployments.
