Job summary

The RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Exeter cluster and cover nearby towns, delivering diagnostics and roadside repairs to keep members moving at the roadside.

You’ll start and finish at home with a provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform and tools, and work shifts averaging 40 hours per week with overtime options. This role blends technical repair expertise with strong member service in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, with your RAC van, fuel card and tools provided.
• Tackle faults head‑on to get members back on the road quickly and confidently.
