Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK, starting and finishing each day at home. Be part of the Exeter cluster, covering local areas, with a dedicated RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic tools provided from day one.

We offer a market-competitive base salary (£36,400) with an achievable OTE (£60,000+), and plenty of overtime opportunities. A real chance to grow with a trusted, historic brand.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Roadside Technician/Mechanic preferred.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish daily from home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need help most within the local area.
