Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK. You will diagnose faults, handle emergency breakdowns, and provide reassuring support to members as you travel from home to call-outs.

Role involves starting and finishing at the technician’s home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform provided. Competitive salary with realistic OTE and ample overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and finish at home
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most
• Equipped with tools and diagnostic kit to get the job done
