Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to keep UK drivers moving. Reporting to the Patrol division, you’ll live in or near York and cover areas like York, Tadcaster, Selby, Pocklington, Market Weighton, starting and finishing at home while handling call-outs with your RAC van and diagnostic kit.

You’ll have a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, a full UK driving licence, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification with at least 2 years post-qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach and full UK driving licence required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair roadside issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home, with a RAC van and diagnostic kit provided.
