Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in York/Tadcaster area to diagnose and repair roadside issues, delivering emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions to members.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and at least 2 years’ experience, you’ll work from home base with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit supplied, while prioritising outstanding member service.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years' post-qualification technical experience.
• Customer-focused approach and a full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, handle flat batteries, tyre changes and complex faults with confidence.
• Start and finish each day from home, operating with RAC van, fuel card and diagnostic tools.
